Codie Sanchez is on a mission to create 1 million financially free humans through business ownership, and it looks like she’s going to accomplish that very thing. But that’s not why I invited her onto the podcast. I invited her on because the businesses she invests in are unglamorous, unsexy, and decidedly boring. They are by no means among the careers most people are told they should aspire to, or the companies young entrepreneurs dream of owning. Car washes, laundromats, etc. And yet…in the words of Colonel Mulberry Sellers, as attributed by Mark Twain, (supposedly), “there’s gold in them thar hills!!!”
Through Main Street Hold Co. and Contrarian Thinking Capital, Codie and her partners buy and invest in Main Street businesses. And they are absolutely killing it. This is a really fun chat that zigs and zags like most of my conversations, but it’s also filled with advice I think a lot of people could benefit from.
