
The debate around our changing environment continues. A significant number of people, including a lot of scientists and well-respected experts, seem very certain that human beings are wrecking the planet, and that fossil fuels are at the root of the problem. Likewise, a significant number of people, including a lot of scientists and well-respected experts, disagree with an equal amount of certainty, and firmly believe that the larger, more pressing need, is to protect billions of desperately poor people from a cruel and dangerous environment, and that fossil fuels are at the root of that solution.
In other words, one side believes that we need to save the climate from human beings, while the other side believes we need to save human beings from the climate.
