Good Grief, where are my manners? The United States Air Force is 70 years old today, and I’ve yet to wish them a Happy Birthday. In my photo album, are many amazing photographs that typify the magnificence of this organization. All of them are worth sharing, but I’m posting this one – an image from a day I’ll never forget – the day The Tank Rats at McConnell AFB invited me by to replace a fuel bladder on a KC-135 Stratotanker.
That was day I squeezed myself through a series of impossibly small holes and tiny apertures designed for someone half my size, and went home smelling like a gas station. Good times, great people, and hard but necessary work.
Also – an identical congratulations to the men and women of The Central Intelligence Agency. Unbeknownst to many, the CIA and Air Force were created by the National Security Act of 1947. For both organizations, Monday marks the 70th anniversary of their founding. If you’re wondering – yes, I do have many interesting photos of myself doing a variety of fascinating things with several field agents. Posting them here however, would result in my immediate disappearance.
Happy Birthday!
