“You Can’t Say “As*hole” on NPR!” (Ep. 306)

Not too long ago, I stumbled across a TED talk from a woman named Celeste Headlee, who many of you have probably heard on NPR. I don’t know her personally, but her TED Talk – Ten Ways to Have a Better Conversation – made me want to meet her. The talk contains 12 minutes of the most useful advice I’ve ever heard. Thirty million people have already watched this thing, and I encourage all of you to follow suit – BUT…but not until you listen to our conversation on this week’s episode.

Modesty aside, this is everything a good conversation should be, and while we discuss much of what she covers in her TED Talk, we also go in a few directions I didn’t anticipate. (Hence, the title of this episode.)
