In a normal world, I’d be sharing photos on this day from the Marine Corps Ball, which I would have attended over the weekend. However, as you may have noticed, the world is no longer normal. Consequently, the powers that be have reconsidered the wisdom of cramming several hundred patriots into a small theater to celebrate the birth of the United States Marine Corps, who turn 245 years old today. And so, I’m sharing a few photos I took last year, and reposting my thoughts on that occasion. I’m also wondering, in this most abnormal year, how covid has complicated the already difficult job these men and women do on our behalf. And I’m hoping that wherever they are, someone is serving them a piece of cake, and saying thanks for your service. https://mikerowe.com/2019/11/the-marine-corps-ball/
