This one turned out to be a little different, for all sorts of reasons. For starters, I knew more about the organization than the production company did. In fact, I was the “nominator” on this one, and mikeroweWORKS was the “builder.” Also, I already knew the honorees, so “surprising them” was never really an option. And, because it all happened in Baltimore, my parents were once again on hand to bear witness, which always makes things…interesting.
All that aside, Jack and Kate are the real deal, and worthy of your attention. Project Jumpstart is transforming lives, and changing Baltimore for the better. Other cities would be wise to take heed.
