This, from the Cottonwood Arizona Police Department…
“Today (06/30/2018) at 1642 hours (4:42 pm) Fire Dispatch will send tones, an announcement, and a moment of silence in remembrance of the Granite Mountain 19 Hotshots.
The announcement is as follows: At this time, 5 years ago today, the fire service lost 19 of its best in the hills above Yarnell. We respectfully ask that all members of our local fire agencies take a moment of silence to commemorate the lives of the 19 Granite Mountain Hot Shots.”
Pause….19 seconds
“Thank you Granite Mountain….we’ll take it from here” … “Alarm Clear 1642 hours.”
