There may come a time in your travels when you find yourself at Loch Bar in downtown Baltimore. If the hour is late, it’s possible a Greek gentlemen named Alex, or Eric, or possibly George, will approach your table with a bovine hoof, no longer attached to it’s original owner. You will learn that The Hoof is a “sacred container,” filled with some sort of fluid that may or may not be whiskey, and you will be invited to drink from it.
At this point, you must make a decision – a decision that will inform the outcome of the rest of your evening, and radically change the complexion of the following day. As you weigh the pros and cons of refusing Greek hospitality, and ponder the difficulty of the whole, “just say no” thing – you might find yourself on the receiving end of some gentle encouragement from Josh Charles – famous actor and Baltimore native – who has the good sense to refuse the temptations of The Hoof, but nevertheless feels duty-bound to make sure that you do not.
Choose wisely….
