Hi Mandy, that makes two of us.
Let me tell you what I know for sure. Dirty Jobs has survived far beyond it’s anticipated shelf life. It’s still on today because the viewers of the show have had an actual impact on what the show looks like. If I’ve learned anything these last few years, it’s not to plan too far ahead. So, if mikeroweWORKS, works, it will be because it stays flexible enough to evolve into something that people think is worthwhile.
As for what the site will actually do, I’m not entirely sure yet. It’s basic purpose will be to call attention to some of the problems we’ve kicked around here. I suppose there are a variety of ways to do that. They’ll likely be a non-profit element, and a place for big companies to weigh in with solutions and ideas that might have an impact. There might be a place for chat. There might be a basic functionality that helps specific types of job searches. There might be video and entertainment. It might be big, and it might be modest. We’ll see. One’s things for sure though – it’ll start small. Very small. As for when, you guys will be the first to know.
I do know that what you have done for the common man or woman thus far has been awesome. Its nice to portray the working man, they deserve it. After all, where would we be with out them?
Well Mandy, I think we would be exactly nowhere.
