As many of you know, I’m in the process of gathering applications for another round of Work Ethic Scholarships. People often ask me where the money comes from -$5 million so far – and my response usually includes a handful of large companies that have consistently supported my efforts over the years. But along with their continued support, and lots of individual support from the people on this page, I sometimes receive good news from out of the blue. Here, for instance, is a check from the very wise and generous people at Felling Trailers.
You probably don’t spend a lot of time thinking about the people who manufacture trailers, but they employ a lot of people, and the people they employ usually possess the kind of skills learned in trade schools. So, while it makes sense for a company like Felling Trailers to support the efforts of my foundation, their donation comes as a complete surprise, which is why I appreciate their support even more.
Thanks! Next time I need a trailer, I know who I’m calling!
