65 years of Connubial Bliss & Happy 93rd Birthday John Rowe

This photo was taken in Baltimore, back 2018. My Dad had just gotten an iPad, and didn’t know where the camera lens was. Obviously. Nevertheless, he snapped a photo that made us all laugh, and today, on the occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary, I thought they could both use a laugh.

Mom’s been in the hospital for the last few days, where the doctors have been trying to determine the cause of chronic headaches and double vision. They think we’ve found the cause and addressed the problem, but I’ll leave it to her to share whatever details she cares to, lest I incur her wrath and various HIPAA violations.

Dad is also dealing with the kind of things men must often confront, when they’re about to turn 93. Which my Dad will do this Friday. Again, the details of his physiology are not for me to share, but I know that many of you will want to wish my parents well and congratulate them on 65 years on connubial bliss.

Their love is an inspiration, and their commitment to each other the very embodiment of the vows they took six and a half decades ago.

Much love to both of you!
