Trades of America Coin

If you haven’t heard, (and even if you have) the very first Trades of America coin is hot off the mint and proudly presented here for your consideration.

I want to thank my friends at US Money Reserve for making this happen, and everyone who has already ordered one. After awarding $5 million in scholarships earlier this month, I’m doing what I can to replenish the coffers at mikeroweWORKS, and this fundraiser strikes me as an excellent way to offer something very special in return for your generous support. Supplies are limited, but 100% of the purchase price goes straight to the mikeroweWORKS Foundation, and every penny raised will be spent to help train the next generation of skilled workers in these United States.

The coin, I think, speaks for itself, but since you’re still reading, allow me to express my own unfettered exuberance with a few enthusiastic words about why this 5oz round of legal tender is worth your own hard earned gelt, and why it deserves a place on your mantle, curio, bookshelf, or trophy case.

Let’s begin with the obverse, where we find a man and a woman, armed with the tools of their trade, ready to tackle the task at hand. As you can plainly see, their faces reflect the quiet confidence of those who understand their own essentiality, and the value of mastering a skill that’s in demand. Zoom in a bit closer, and you’ll see the resolve in their countenance, the determination in their silvery gaze, and the unmistakable grit that’s defined America’s skilled workforce since the republic’s inception. Zoom in a bit more, and behold the extraordinary detail on a rugged, unshaven face, (his, not hers), and the dainty philtrum of an upper lip, just beneath an exquisitely chiseled aquiline nose, (hers, not his.) Behind them, you’ll notice the city they helped build, and the road that leads from it, all etched into the pure silver with a level of precision never before seen on precious metal. Throw in some stars, a few gears, a crane in the distance, and the MRW logo, and you have a tableau of vocational pride worthy of public display.

I now direct your attention to the reverse, where an American eagle sits in quiet repose, keeping a watchful eye on all who pass. You’ll notice our national symbol is protected by an iconic shield festooned with American iconography. Below you’ll find The Cook Island Coat of Arms, alongside the confirmation that what you’ll receive when you place your order, (along with the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping train the next generation of skilled workers,) is five ounces of .9999 silver – the purest silver money can buy.

In short, what we have here is an eternal memento to the men and women who keep the lights on, the pipes connected, the energy flowing, and the water running hot and cold. If you purchase one these coins for yourself, you’ll take possession of what I hope will be the first in a series of coins to pay tribute to America’s skilled workforce. And if you purchase one as a gift for a tradesperson in your life, I daresay the lucky recipient will be hard pressed to find a more fitting token of your esteem and appreciation. I promise, they will be delighted to receive it.

In other words, first come first served, at USMR.com/mike. While you’re there check out the short video of how this coin came into existence and learn why the only place on earth, I could make a coin of this quality to honor the American trades, was a mint in Germany.

It’s a fascinating and telling tale…
