“Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe and “The Wire” creator David Simon are engaged in a week-long feud over Simon’s television show. And it doesn’t seem like the feud is going to end anytime soon.

It started Nov. 6 when Rowe posted on Facebook about a new project he’s working on that will consider Baltimore in a more positive light than “The Wire.” The Baltimore Sun’s David Zurawk has more on Rowe’s project.

The conflict has nothing to do with the project. The offense came when Rowe, referring to “The Wire” and another Simon project, “Homicide: Life on the Street,” wrote: “Both shows convinced millions of Americans that Baltimore is a fantastic place to buy drugs, find a whore, or get murdered. Better yet…all three at once!”

Simon responded to City Paper about Rowe’s post.

Then Rowe responded to Simon with a 2,000-word blog post.
