Q. Mike it occurs to me that you are comfortable in the perpetual apprentice role. Is that keeping you from having to be an expert in something? Do you want to excel in writing? It’s not that I feel that you are not good at what you do, because you are good at everything even if you don’t want to call yourself that. Labels are powerful. What do you think?
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones.
I am thankful for all the fun on DJMB, the shows, just you sharing you with us.

A. “Mike it occurs to me that you are comfortable in the perpetual apprentice role.”
Hi Cherry,
I am. The freedom to make a mistake is maybe the greatest opportunity people can give themselves. Why we strive so hard to become “experts” is a mystery to me. Experts are held to the highest standards. Apprentices can screw up with relative impunity.
I will doubtless demonstrate this on multiple occasions in the very near future.
