Closing America’s Skills Gap

the birthday wishes/condolences. I was touched to read so many kind words about my parent’s decision to procreate over six decades ago, and the results thereof. For those of you who feel just terrible about not getting me a present, here’s an idea – share this video of me being interviewed on American Thought Leaders.

As some of you may know, the mikeroweWORKS Foundation is in the process of awarding a few million dollars in work ethic scholarships, and this interview does a REALLY good job of explaining why and how the headlines have caught up to the mission of mikeroweWORKS. (Currently, we have 10X the number of applicants we typically have during our enrollment period, and while I don’t necessarily think of myself as a “thought leader, I do believe that this video, widely shared, could help us raise additional funds to award more work ethic scholarships.)

Also, a BIG thanks to the always excellent Jan Jekielek, who not only asked me all the right questions, but gave me time to answer them properly, and then, allowed me to share his interview on my YouTube channel, knowing the audience there would be large and engaged. That’s a very unusual and very generous gesture from a journalist whose livelihood depends on a subscription model. But Jan shares my passion for closing America’s skills gap and supports our efforts at mikeroweWORKS. Thanks, Jan.

As for the rest of you – we’re still accepting scholarship applications at https://mikeroweworks.org/scholarship/. If you or someone you know wants to learn a skill that’s in demand, apply today. And, if you want to support our efforts to assist those who apply, the “DONATE” button is in working order, and hard to miss…

Thanks,
Mike
