Thank You Chick-Fil-A, See You Soon Witchita

Before I leave Atlanta for Wichita, I want to thank the good folks at Chick-fil-A for bravely inviting the Dirty Jobs Guy to address their ranks after another delicious dinner. (Yes, chicken was the only thing on the menu.) As you might imagine, my stories aren’t always “dinner-friendly,” and I hope my ruminations on sewers and septic tanks didn’t impede (or hasten) anyone’s digestion. Thanks also for buying so many copies of my book which I’m pleased to report has been selling well for the last four years. I was supposed to have published another one by now, but I got busy. Speaking of books, my mother’s fourth, (and her best,) is currently available at mikerowe.com/momsbook. Pre-order a copy today, and I’ll send you a chicken.

Why Am I going to Wichita, you ask? Two reasons.

First, to film a story at WSU Tech, an exemplary trade school with some amazing instructors who had the good sense to incorporate the MRW Work Ethic Curriculum into their course offerings. I’m going to interview a few of those instructors and a few of their students, to see if elevating work ethic enhances the odds of success. Spoiler alert, it does.

After that, I’m headed over to Total Wine Wichita to sign a few hundred bottles of my grandfather’s whiskey and make some new friends. If you come by and pick up a bottle, be sure to say hello, shake hands, and grab a selfie. (I’ll be there between 7-8pm tonight, with my cameraman, recording the whole thing. (If you say something nice about the whiskey, I’ll put you in a commercial.)
