Auction Update – Autographed Albums of Beautiful Music from Mac Sinise

Big thanks to Reed Kean, who bid $3,150.00 for two autographed albums of beautiful music from Mac Sinise. Every penny will go to The Gary Sinise Foundation, to continue their good work with veterans and first responders. Gary asked me to pass on his thanks as well, Reed. He’s humbled, and grateful. I’ll keep you all posted on the other thing, (i.e. Gary’s nomination for The Medal of Freedom.) Over ten thousand people seconded my nomination, and others closer to the Oval Office have passed on your collective enthusiasm. We’ll see what happens.

In other news, I’m off the grid for a couple days. There’s a service today for Clint Hill at the National Cathedral, and I’ve come to the Capitol to pay my respects.

PS. Funny – the only other thing on my agenda for this trip was to find and visit the WW1 Memorial that was recently installed somewhere near the National Mall. I wasn’t sure exactly where, but after my interview with Sabin Howard – the sculptor who spent years creating it – I was determined to see it with my own eyes. Last night when I arrived, I looked out my hotel window to see what sort of view I had.

And there it was.
Magnificent.
