Several months ago, a woman named Judy offered to make a “lap quilt” out of my old blue jeans. Beyond this shameless and transparent attempt to get in my pants, her offer seemed a sensible way to transform my old clothes into a potentially valuable piece of C.R.A.P., and auction off the resulting handiwork to benefit the mikeroweWORKS Foundation. So I sent Judy 8 pair of used jeans, and waited to see what she would do with them. Today, I found out, as the attached video illustrates.
