A Platitude With Attitude

Here’s a platitude with attitude, pictured on a wall, and posted on a page. I think it would be great to see more of these.

The goal is to get people talking about the definition of a “good job,” and become more open to the many affordable educational opportunities currently described (and dismissed) as “alternative.” Work Smart AND Hard might help start such a conversation, so I’d love to see these hanging in workplaces and schools across the country. (This one is hanging in the break room at the company who prints these for us. Thanks, iPrint.)

So … If you’re one of the thousand people who have already ordered one, this is your official invitation to take a picture of my platitude wherever it is hanging, and post it on my Facebook wall.

If you’re one of the 300 million or so people who have yet to get a Work Smart AND Hard poster of your very own, you can order one.

And if you’re one of the curious who are wondering why I’ve waged war on a cliche, check out The Worst Advice in the World in this month’s issue of Popular Mechanics. It explains a lot.

Carry on,
Mike
